ReplyDeleteThe group DSW (Dawn Storm Watchers) from Italy formed in April 2010 and next year they served the homonymous debut EP with 4 songs that were moving musical to Stoner Rock scene .Listening the songs i felt that the band has talent and had several good ideas on the guitar parts, with strong Stoner riffs with unique sound but the vocals , personally, doidnt not impress me a lot.
Immediately after the release of EP the band changed singer and this year the band is back and they present the first comprehensive work called'' Dust Storm Warning'' which contains 11 units total duration about 56 minutes.
Here we hear and the 4 configurations from their first EP which will impress the listener further and accompanied by the dynamic vocals of'' Wolf'' who has something of the distinctive timbre of Ben Ward.In general parts the singer added his own stone to the edifice of music and i believe this change has positively influenced the band.
The remaining members continue to move in very good musical level and offer us powerful moments of pure Stoner Rock.Therefore here will enjoy explosive Stoner songswhich blow and electrify the brain with the fuzzy and groovy character (Outrun , Space Cubeship, Monkey Woman). There are also psychedelic jamming to relax in, to be hypnotize you and to travel (Dune, Sherpa, Wasteland) and finally super songs full of atmospheric melodies and solos to breathtaking you away with their simplicity (Lonely Coyote , Rise).
In conclusion, the debut album of the Italians and pleasantly surprised if they continue the hard work with this line-up is sure to erase a very good way to Stoner Rock area.
